America, Are You SURE You Want A Revival?

I felt impressed of the LORD to ask this question to all American Christians who are concerned about the state of this country.

The Reality City Daily Review -September 21, 2021

This is my second revision of today's broadcast. I was not happy with the original and I wanted to emphasize why I'm doing this in the first place.

The Reality City Daily Review, September 20, 2021

Today's Topics: A brief look at the last broadcast, a call for potential sponsors, and lessons not learned in seminary, such as how to do a funeral near a bayou.

The Reality City Daily Review, September 16, 2021

Atheism is the lamest and laziest worldview ever conceived. Watch today's episode to find out the reasons, using the Scriptures as proof (Ephesians 5:11).

Welcome to the Home of the Reality City Reverend. I'm Glad You Stopped By!

My name is Donald Whitchard, and I have served the Lord Jesus Christ as a minister of the Gospel for nearly forty years. I'm now at the age where I can be classified as a "senior adult", discounts and all. I'll give you a hint about my age. Elvis was still around during my high school years, but he passed away on August 16, 1977, the day before we were to take our senior portraits, which was a bummer. My generation went through the rise and fall of disco, shag carpeting and wood paneling in our homes, no seat belts in cars, no internet, no cell phones, enduring the "Cold War" between the Communist Russians and the Free West, witnessing the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, and having only three channels on TV with no remote. You got up and changed the channels (Whoa!).

There were no such things as bike helmets, knee pads, "play dates", "time outs", or "safe spaces". You took care of bullies by punching them in the nose, then you picked them up off of the ground, shook hands, and asked them to join you and your friends at the playground. You dared not talk back to your parents, teachers, or any authority figure unless you wanted to witness your early demise. We saw the premiere of "Star Wars", watched"Saturday Night Live" when it was actually FUNNY, and watched our fellow Americans being held hostage by the Iranians for 444 days, withTed Koppel of ABC's "Nightline" counting down the time they were in captivity until being freed on the day Ronald Reagan became President (January 20, 1981). We endured the summer of 1980 trying to figure out who shot the villainous oil baron of TV's "Dallas", J.R. Ewing, and the list goes on. It's amazing we're still here.

I was born and reared in southwestern Louisiana, known as "Cajun Country". The swamps and bayous were part of my life along with the great food, unique culture, Zydeco music, New Orleans blues and jazz. My grandparents lived during the time of the Great Depression and World War II. They were part of "The Greatest Generation", the likes of which we will never see again. My parents were hard and honest workers, but I remember those lean times when all we had in the house to eat were a couple of cans of soup. I had the noodles and they drank the broth. So please, do not give me any junk about "white privilege", thank you. I began working when I was 16 for $2.10 per hour in a local grocery store and did other jobs. There were always things to do, regardless of the circumstances (Proverbs 12:11, 20:13; 1 Timothy 5:8). If more people would get up off their  backsides and go find a job and stay busy, there would be little of the foolishness we have witnessed in the past few years. Just a thought.

I am a graduate of Louisiana College (B.A. in History Education, 1984); New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary ( Christian Education, 1994); and Andersonville Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry in Bible Studies, 2000). I've served the LORD in evangelism, education, and as a pastor in Louisiana and Oklahoma, along with serving as an adjunct professor of Biblical Studies at a private college near New Orleans. I was involved with chaplaincy work in local rescue missions and area hospitals until August 2019, when I stepped aside for health reasons that have somewhat improved over time, thank the LORD.

I have been wed to Cathy, the love of my life, since August of 1983. We have three children; a daughter and son who are both adults and a baby girl waiting for us in heaven. We called New Orleans home for fourteen years (1991-2005) until the 28th of August 2005, when we fled from Hurricane Katrina and the horrendous damage it did not just to the city but to the souls of its citizens. We ended up moving to Oklahoma in October of 2005, and settled in the city of Muskogee.

I now devote my time and energy to the harvest field of internet evangelism. I write Bible studies, sermons, and articles of interest for Christian websites with a sense of urgency as I see time running out and that the day to surrender to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is NOW (Acts 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:10, 6:2; Philippians 2:9-11). No one is going to be overlooked, be exempt, or be without an excuse on the Day of Judgment including you, friend. You have been warned.

I invite you to watch my daily broadcast, "The Reality City Daily Review", Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM CST, live on YouTube. I go over topics such as the vital doctrines of Christianity in a way that's easy to understand, Bible prophecy and why it matters, and hard issues that pastors are afraid to touch, like the silent "H" word (hell), the wrath of God, and the need for national and personal repentance. You won't hear anything on this broadcast like the drivel coming from the latte'-sipping, TV celebrity "seminary social justice soy-boy pastors" over at the local "Six Flags over Jesus" megachurch, hair salon, and tire center. I call it as I see it, ladies and gentlemen, and I will never back down, apologize, or compromise when it comes to the fact of salvation through Jesus Christ and Him ALONE (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). Deal with it.

PLEASE take the time to watch the videos I've posted below. Your eternal destiny depends on what you will do after you see them. It's either salvation in Jesus Christ (John 14:6), or walk away in unbelief. Just remember that when you take your last breath, it will be too late (Luke 12:13-21, 16:19-31; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:11-15). It's your choice.

If you need prayer, counsel, or if you represent a church, school, or business, and may be interested in having me come speak, please contact me at my Email address or leave a message at my number listed at the top of the page.
